De Charmoy Estate boasts three different venues - suitable to a variety of functions and events from weddings to birthdays to conferences and anything in between. Perfectly situated in the heart of the sugar cane fields just 5 kilometres from King Shaka International Airport and 15 kilometers from Gateway Shopping Mall, convenient for both local and international guests.
Should you book your wedding with us you have full and exclusive use of all three venues to provide variety for your event. The venues allow external caterers after a specific vetting process has been completed which offers you the ability to be as creative with your wedding concept as you would like!
Boma
This exquisite rustic styled Boma seats up to 100 people, with beautifully decked timber floors and chandeliers, this venue has a bar area and a fireplace. It is fully covered but not fully enclosed. The Boma is perfect for an intimate wedding, afternoon high tea, bridal and baby showers and evening cocktails or sundowners.
Hilltop House & Gardens
These gardens are the perfect setting for an outdoor garden ceremony, afternoon high tea, bridal or baby showers. The Hilltop House checkered black and white verandah floor flow onto the gardens which provide a striking contrast to the lush gardens and complete the picturesque setting. An old plantation style house with whitewashed floors, large mirrors and beautiful antiques, it hosts a beautiful library and fireplace and is fully air conditioned.
Brides often choose to use the house to get ready for their big day but the House can also be used for Conferencing (20 pax) and has full OHP facilities and can be set up conference style or a more casual set up with couches and break away areas.
Bedouin
Our Stretch Tent is a permanent fixture at De Charmoy Estate. This can be used for Weddings or larger special occasions and can accommodate up to 210 people (subject to Government’s Covid-19 Regulations). The floor is made up of Astro turf and there are beautifully appointed bathrooms and a separate food and beverage area.
